Oisin Byrne is a British Director, Writer and Film Producer. His initial short films made during a Masters degree in directing at Goldsmiths gained attention at film festivals. ‘Twenty Minutes’ screened at BAFTA qualifying Encounters and Aesthetica where it was nominated for the ‘Creative Filmmaker Award’ in the Nahemi category. It was also selected for Sarasota.
His later film ‘Disconnect’ screened at 11 short film festivals. Including SENE US, W.O.W Cinema Dubai (Winner Rising Filmmaker Award), Best Shorts Competition (Winner Merit Filmmaking award), Short to the Point (Jury prize award Nominee) and Fastnet Film Festival Ireland.
Oisin is part of BAFTA crew alumni, an emerging talent programme 2018.
Oisin started production company ’Parameter Films’ in 2019, recently sharing 'Public Discourse’ with film festivals. 'Public Discourse is written & directed by Oisin Byrne, and the film is also his debut as a producer.
